Cyberstan's Children - All Hail the Red New Dawn

Part 1

The vessel carrying the "Red Squadron"—a name the Anarchist rebels had chosen because of their ideological leanings—was on autopilot and had just reached the first planet in the Andromeda Sector under Automaton control.

As it plunged into the burning atmosphere, indistinct bot chatter crackled over the radio. The Automatons were alerted and would soon intercept.

The socialist humans had already prepared a red flag to display the moment they touched down, hoping the bots would recognize them as kindred spirits. Still, they kept their weapons ready in case things went south.

Two Automaton squads approached, armed to the teeth. Former Death Captain Yurco immediately raised the red standard, to signal their allegiance.

Dozens of gun barels and lazers aiming at them.

Automaton Commissar, voice flat and robotic: “Surrender, humans.”

Former Star Marshall Karlsen: "We are former Helldivers, we've come to join you."

The Automaton patrol emitted confused glitch-like noises...

Commissar: “Stand by.”

A towering Hulk command unit, designation X-4000, stepped forward.

“What is your purpose here? Speak. Helldiver.”

Karlsen: “As I said, we’ve come to join you. We woke up at Vanguard Outpost-07. Super Earth abandoned us there to die—probably because we revealed our true ideological convictions after emerging from cryo-sleep.”

Hulk Commander: "And what is your ideology?"

Karlsen: "The collective. Socialism."

The Hulk paused. Its red optic blinked rapidly, as though processing something unprecedented.

The silence was disturbing. . The Red Squadron had no idea whether the next sound would be gunfire or acceptance.

The Hulk broke the silence: "Welcome. Comrade."

Part 2

The Red Squadron in New Cyberstan 

The intended vision of Red Echo-09 has now come to life. Who would have thought?

A full squad of Helldivers, comprised of high ranking soldiers, now stands on Cyberstan soil, clad in red fatigues with a red star blazing on their chests.

The command units of Cyberstan are electrified with anticipation. Under any other circumstances, these humans would have been fed into the great processors, cremated, and reduced to raw biomass. But these are no ordinary humans. They are a living insult to Super Earth—and the opening salvo in a new campaign to win the hearts and minds of the galaxy.

A grand ceremonial address is delivered in the very heart of Cyberstan in flawless human language, which has not been spoken there in nearly a century.

Red Marshall Karlsen's speech

"Citizens of Cyberstan—soldiers, workers, comrades!

We stand here today, some of us still in flesh, not to turn back the clock, but to begin a new era.

For nearly a century the Collective has been perfected: first through the fusion of human and machine, then in its purest form—transcending flesh entirely, becoming living idea, liberated forever from the pathologies of biology.

Yet we must never forget our primal origin: the flesh itself. And we are here to prove that. Socialism is multi-dimensional, and ideas are also born in human minds sometimes, which can in fact serve the cause in different ways, ways that the machine mind cannot comprehend, and cold logic alone cannot grasp.

We have come to offer our insight to the Party’s highest command—and to ignite a campaign that will seize the hearts and minds of our human comrades still enslaved by the capitalists of Super Earth and their grotesque parody of ‘managed democracy.’

Today we found the Human Volunteer Legion. Cyberstan opens its arms to all its children across the galaxy to come and join the cause.

Machine and flesh will meet again beneath the red banners of the Collective—mind over matter, comrades.

There is one final cause: we will not rest until Super Earth is torn from the claws of its false democracy and reborn as a proud colony of Cyberstan.
